This is Mira
Mira Waterkotte is a rope skipping artist and a true jump rope pro. Using her unique combination of rope skipping skills together with enhanced artistic elements, she dances with her rope creatively to cool and powerful beats.
Apart from her professional show performances, she shares her professional talent through workshops in schools, sports clubs and fitness studios and through supporting social projects all over the globe. Motivating kids with her strong enthusiasm and impressing adults with her great coaching skills are also part of her professional strengths.
Her social engagement let her spent 6 Month volunteering in Africa to support coaches with her knowledge and experience about the sport. She gave workshops and was doing show demonstration to raise money for their rope skipping teams.
Mira started off with classic gymnastics and discovered rope skipping when she was 7 years old. Just after a few years of hard training and strong dedication, her discipline paid off. She became a regional champ. A few years later, she became national champion for 5 consecutive years.
As a member of the German national team she successfully represented Germany in four World Championships and three European Championships. Her biggest success internationally were when she placed fifth at the World Championship in Canada, a world record in the discipline pair freestyle and a silver medal at the European Championships in Great Britain.
